Hi, Welcome to my website

My name is Anne Frances Shearer, but everyone called me Frances and I provide automatic driving lessons.

I live in Stirling and have lived here all my life with my family.

From a very young age I always wanted to drive, so I totally understand the enthusiasm that new drivers have. I loved nothing more than going out with my friends and family in the car, and as soon as I was old enough I learnt to drive straight away. Driving is now a passion of mine and it was a goal in my life to incorporate driving in my career.

Fast forward a number of years and I took the plunge and started to train to become a driving instructor. I decided to join LDC driving school because of their client centered approach and teaching methods which means the lessons are tailored to the individual learner. I love this approach because everyone learns in a difference way and we have different tools and techniques to help you on your driving journey. One of my children (now a young adult) has complex additional learning needs, so I understand whole heartedly how everyone is different. But then wouldn't life be boring if we were all the same!

I have some experience of teaching learners with Autism and dyspraxia. I know that the best way to support students with additional needs is through patience, understanding, undertaking the lessons at their pace and asking them how best they like to learn. I have loved the experience of working with people with additional needs and I plan to continue developing my skills through additional CPD and training. My aim is to help all of my students pass their driving test and gain the independent of getting on the road.
